Donates RM10,000 to Rumah Kasih Harmoni
NIVEA,
one of the most popular skincare brands in Malaysia, and No. 1 skincare
brand in the world, donated RM10,000 cash to Rumah Kasih Harmoni, a
shelter for children, in line with the global brand’s commitment to
redefining Beauty as a holistic, all-encompassing appeal.
This Beauty is Care campaign is part of NIVEA’s brand relaunch inspired
by the holistic aspects of a person that Beauty Is “how I look, how I
feel, how I am”. NIVEA’s definition of beauty goes beyond what is skin
deep to the more all-encompassing aspects of the individual. In this
way, NIVEA hopes to reach all kinds of people in the community and to
see the true Beauty in ever person.
As sponsor of 8TV’s Ultimate Prom Night, the NIVEA team had earlier
visited the home in conjunction with the filming of one of the
episodes, and were drawn to the needs of the 19 boys and 12 girls aged
between 8 and 10 who were sheltered in this home. Visiting the home
again, the NIVEA team talked and mingled with the children and at the
end of their visit, presented the owner of the home, Mr Jamaluddin
Wahab, a cheque of RM10,000. As they mingled and played with the
children, the NIVEA team also gave away lots of NIVEA goodies including
children’s suncare products, moisturizing lotions and facewash.
“We found them cheerful, beautiful children who just needed to know
that someone from the outside world loves them. We couldn’t help but be
impressed by how positive they are despite their backgrounds. We’re
confident that with good support, these children will grow to
contribute positively to our country. Our gift is a token of our
confidence in them,” said Ms Yau Li Har, Marketing Director of
Beiersdorf Singapore Pte. Ltd, which owns the NIVEA brand.
