Watchmaking
Week
The Manufacture in the Vallée de Joux celebrates its175th
anniversary with an innovative concept by sharing its watchmaking
culture
Jaeger-LeCoultre,
pioneer inventor and innovator of fine and complicated watches
commemorates its 175th anniversary with much grandeur as it offers fine
watchmaking aficionados an entire week of exhibition and fascinating
highlights devoted to the roots of the Manufacture. Fresh from its
inaugural exhibition in Singapore, the “Watchmaking Week” in Kuala
Lumpur opened this evening in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur.
The Watchmaking Week was officially opened by Mr Xavier Dufoix,
Managing Director of Jaeger-LeCoultre South East Asia. Customers,
exclusive partners and the media were captured by the exquisite highly
complicated pieces, the pride of Jaeger-LeCoultre, flown in especially
for this occasion. Scheduled to last a full week, this exhibition
enables watch devotees to participate in some fascinating interactive
highlights: watchmaking classes and meeting with the various
watchmakers involved. Right after Kuala Lumpur, the exhibition will
travel to France, Germany and China.
“The Watchmaking Week is the first of this scale for Jaeger-LeCoultre
and it will be a stunning showcase that will capture the imaginations
of fine watch aficionados. We are truly excited to see Malaysian
aficionados be more informed about the revolutionary complications and
experience Jaeger-LeCoultre for themselves,” says Mr Xavier Dufoix,
Managing Director of Jaeger-LeCoultre South East Asia.
“Each evening will have a delightfully different twist to it as
Jaeger-LeCoultre will partner with renowned luxury watch retailers such
as Sincere Fine watches, The Hour Glass, Cortina, Swiss Watch Gallery
and exclusive partners such as Standard Chartered Bank, EON Bank,
Pavilion, Bang & Olufsen, EO Malaysia and Supercar Clubs. Events
such as the Gem-setting Class, Master Class and Atmos Demonstration
will be organized to ensure that its watchmaking culture is shared with
a greater section of the Malaysian community,” he added.
