Asia Brands Appointed As New License Holder For Disney’s Mickey Mouse & Friends Apparel Line

Asia Brands Corporation Berhad, announced its appointment by Fun Characters International (FCI), as the new License Holder for the Disney’s Mickey Mouse and Friends apparel line. A reputable clothing company that engages in manufacturing, trading, marketing and retailing lingerie, ladies’ leisure wear and children’s wear, Asia Brands Corporation is the home of household brands like Anakku, Audrey International, Lilian, and also holds licenses for Disney Baby, Sesame Beginnings and many others.
 
Asia Brands Corporation, the current license holder of Disney Baby since 1995, will be expanding its Disney product range with the new Mickey Mouse apparel offerings, bringing its high quality products from babies to kids, teens as well as adult consumers. Asia Brands Corporation will have the rights to design, manufacture, distribute and retail all Disney’s Mickey Mouse outerwear and innerwear apparel products for Malaysia under the appointment by FCI, who is also the Master Licensee for Disney Consumer Products in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Brunei and the Philippines.

Asia Brands Corporation will set up retail concept stores and retail points nationwide starting with one retail store in the Klang Valley and one in Tebrau City, Johor.  By June 2008, the licensee owned and run stores will carry a wider range of apparel from baby all the way to teens and adults. Retail points will be located in major departmental stores across the country.

The expansion to adopt the wider range of Mickey Mouse apparel range has been prompted by the company’s success in manufacturing and marketing Disney Baby apparel, home furnishing and feeding accessories as well as the company’s track record in marketing and building successful brands in the baby and adult segments.
