OMEGA Opens Second Boutique At Pavilion KL And Launches A New Expression Of Craftsmanship

It was a day of double celebration for OMEGA as it witnessed for the first time in South-East Asia the launch of its long-awaited Fine Leather Collection along with the official opening of its second standalone boutique in Malaysia at Pavilion KL. This sleek range of leather goods for the practical professionals will create a new experience for consumers shopping at any OMEGA international flagship boutiques around the world.

Consistent with all OMEGA standalone stores, the OMEGA boutique at Pavilion is designed to create a whole new shopping experience for its customers.  At this boutique, OMEGA’s clientele will be able to enjoy a range of excellent timepieces, elegant Fine Jewellery and the new, contemporary Fine Leather Collection.

This double celebration began with Mr. David Ponzo, Country Manager of Swatch Group SEA, Mr. Joseph Boudville, Brand Manager of OMEGA Malaysia and Camelia, OMEGA Malaysia Brand Ambassador cutting the ribbon to inaugurate the opening of the second OMEGA boutique in Malaysia. As the doors open, models walked out of the new boutique showcasing the very first Fine Leather Collection by OMEGA.

“After more than a century of crafting some of the finest timepieces, OMEGA is using this experience as a springboard towards the leather goods market. Although the conceptualization and development of a leather product differs greatly with that of a watch, OMEGA believes that it has the ability to ensure exquisite craftsmanship, meticulous attention to the smallest detail and superior quality,” said Mr. David Ponzo during the Fine Leather Collection launch.

He went on to comment, “OMEGA’s expansion into the leather goods segment creates a whole new perspective for the brand. From the consumer point of view, customers are given more choices and variety when they shop at OMEGA. From a business standpoint, this expansion paves the way to a wider category of consumers.  We hope to infuse OMEGA into the lifestyle of the modern day professional.”

OMEGA’s Fine Leather Collection is handcrafted in supple Italian calfskin leather with smooth finishing borders resulting from the labour-intensive ‘double edge folding’ technique. Each stitch is brought together carefully by hand to ensure that the finished product deserves the ‘Made in Italy’ hallmark.
