New Linksys Compact Wireless-G Router Jam-Packed with Features for Home and Mobile Users

Linksys®, a division of Cisco Systems, Inc., and the leading global manufacturer of broadband, wireless, and networking hardware for home, Small Office/Home Office (SOHO) and small business environments, today announced its Compact Wireless-G Broadband router (WRT54GC), which provides home and mobile users with the flexibility, to provide both seamless wireless access and connectivity for wired Ethernet devices in a small compact design.

The Compact Wireless-G Router is three devices in one; a Wireless Access Point that enables users to connect via Wireless-G (802.11g) or Wireless-B (802.11b); a built in 4-port full-duplex 10/100 switch to connect wired Ethernet devices to the network; and a router which allows users to securely share a network with high-speed cable or DSL Internet connection. The routers’ compact size enables users to place the router almost anywhere in the home or office.
