
Suria KLCC Celebrates 6th Anniversary With “Always Something
New”
Suria
KLCC is the place for shopping, food, fun and excitement, especially
during some of the popular special events and festivals that took place
in conjunction with its 6th anniversary celebration. This year’s
anniversary had a sense of newness and freshness for the six-year-old
shopping centre!
Some of the special events in conjunction of the anniversary
celebration were as follows:
Musical Weekend
Suria KLCC was definitely full-of-life when Y.Bhg. Datuk Ishak Imam
Abas, Board Member of Suria KLCC kicked off the grand Musical Weekend
to mark the start of the month-long anniversary celebration of
activities and promotions.
Shoppers were dancing and chilling out to the sounds of the very best
local school bands. Organised by Suria KLCC and Yamaha Music, the
Musical Weekend featured five Concert Bands, five Jazz Ensembles, one
POP Band, two String Orchestras, two Traditional Ensembles, two Bass
& Woodwind, Strings Recitals and one Guitar Performance, all of
which are selected bands representing 18 schools and colleges in the
Klang Valley.
Suria KLCC Teddy Bear
Picnic
Running for the fourth consecutive year, the Suria KLCC Teddy Bear
Picnic event gathered more than 500 teddy bears hand-in-paw with their
proud owners.
Themed “SURIA TEDDY BEAR PICNIC FANTASY LAND”, the picnic featured a
host of activities including Moving Target by B’Bush, Hanging Puzzle by
Bebe’s Home, Fashion Photo Shoot by Guess Kids, Toy Car or Carry Bag
Decoration by Osh Kosh B’ Gosh, 3D Puzzle Game by Poney, Hook the Teddy
by Teddy Tales, Bouncing Castle, Face Painting, Sand Art, and many
other exciting activities.
Batik Showcase
The external façade of Suria KLCC also carried a new look that
had a twist of Malaysian flavour to its appeal. Suria KLCC
collaborated with ten well-known Malaysian batik designers namely
Radzuan Razwill, Yusoff Fadzil Idris, Salikin Sidek, Nor Aini Shariff,
Nazleen Noor, Amin Jauhary, Noor Arfa Batek, Shabri Saad, Iszal Ismail
and Mohd Azizi to come out with banners in Batik designs to drape
the external frontage of its Ampang and Ramlee entrances.
