
Ernst & Young celebrates the spirit of entrepreneurship in
Malaysian
During an impressive Awards Ceremony held in Kuala
Lumpur on 19 January 2004, a prestigious jury, named Y. Bhg. Dato’
Mohd Nadzmi Mohd Salleh as Malaysia’s Ernst & Young
Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2003, chosen from a selection of
14 outstanding entrepreneurs, each and everyone of them, leading
captains of industry in their own right.
Dato’ Mohd Nadzmi received his Award from
YB Dato’ Seri Rafidah bt Aziz, Minister of International
Trade & Industry. In addition to receiving the country Award,
Dato’ Mohd Nadzmi was also named as the recipient of the
Master Entrepreneur of the Year® award.
Three other awards were presented on the same
night:
Tony Fernandes of AirAsia Sdn Bhd was named the Emerging Entrepreneur
Of The Year.
Alan Tan, founder of TimeCom Holdings Sdn Bhd Group was named
the Information Communications & Technology Entrepreneur Of
The Year.
Theresa Fong, Managing Director of Caely Holdings Bhd, was named
the Woman Entrepreneur Of The Year.
The awards were a culmination of several months
of interviews and judging sessions by an independent panel of
judges. “We take great pride in the role we have played,
and will continue to play in celebrating the story of how so many
hard-won dreams have come true. It was indeed a challenge for
the judges to select one single award recipient, as each top nominee
is a winner in his or her own right,” said Mr See Huey Beng,
Country Managing Partner, Ernst & Young.
